It's difficult to gauge anything from this year because so many sides were so inconsistent.

Personally I'm pretty happy with the direction of travel at the club. We have a young squad and it will go more that way over the next couple of years if anything, and people are going to have to accept that results will be up and down because of that at times.

I just want to see the younger lads given the chance to develop and show signs that Leeds is growing again from the low base we've seen.

I still think it might be 2021 before we can stretch our wings, but it depends on how successful the club is on moving on a few stubborn problems and what they can bring in instead.

I think this is the catch 22 for us at the moment.

We do seem to have a good batch of youngsters and to progress they need game time. But we have been in relegation scraps 3 of the last 4 years so we can't risk blooding too many youngsters too much next season. The reserve team will help get them some higher quality game time but the challenge will be managing our won/lose column against developing the youngsters.

I'd like us to just keep well out of the relegation battle next year ( and for the foreseeable future as well) as going to games you just can't enjoy them and makes the season feel long and anxious. I'd like us to squeeze into top 5 again as I think we have the players to do that but really depends on how well we recruit and other Super League teams recruit as well, also need to see what sort or rugby Agar gets us playing next year we probably would be around that 5t-8th spot if we go off how the teams performed since he took over mid this year. Overall I'd take 5th- place in table with us being way off bottom place and playing a good entertaining brand of rugby. Don't think we'll win silverware but wouldn't mind a decent cup run and maybe get within a shout of CC cup final depending on our draw, hope we make 2-3 more signings off good quality then I think we have a good mix of players as well as offload 2-3 players we don't need and also get to bring in some youngsters for valuable game time.

Do you know what, it’s been a terrible year but looking back I’ve actually enjoyed some parts of it in a weird sense, the wins at Wakefield, Cas and Huddersfield for example were great, but I really don’t want another year like it next year, I’m not fussed about winning anything, we’ve had plenty of that in recent history but I do want them to compete and give their all and in fairness they have looked like doing that since Agar took over, I would like to see some entertaining rugby though and some kids given a chance

Did all the teams play the exact same fixtures over those 10 rounds? It really means very little if not.

The teams don’t play the same fixtures over the course of a full season anyway because of the loop fixtures so by that reasoning the league means very little.

Im not saying it means much other than we have improved with Agar and probably more importantly the recent signings which gives a bit of confidence for next year

It means nothing at all in reality. Who were the worst teams? Pretty sure Warrington and Catalans would be it over those 10 rounds. 3 of our games, and all wins were against those sides.

Only the full set of fixtures is a measurement of where you are.

Not really when we have had a massive amount of change throughout the season.

Your point about form of other clubs doesn’t really make sense as you could apply that logic to the full season.

Anyway i only mentioned it as I thought it was interesting to see a ‘form table’ as obviously so did Sky

I agree, that is interesting to see. Sure, the full season is all that matters but I at least would be happy to say that shows progress under the changes the club have made in terms of agar and the signings.
