I reckon that Jack Broadbent will be the next in line Tad

IMO Alex Sutcliffe isn't going to make it in SL as a centre as he's not quick enough and that back row will be his route to SL

When we lost at Bradford in the cup, it was pointed out at HT and FT in the analysis there how Hurrell almost routinely steps up out of the line and how invariably this was the cause of loads of tries up to and during that game. I know it was doing my nut in watching it from the stands.

I had clocked it weeks before myself and I really hoped having it pointed out methodically on free to air TV on a Saturday might have made the club work on it. But it never really stopped after that point. It happened at Cas weeks later which I went to as well and it drove me insane there too as he continued to do it.

It suggests either a) the coaches aren't fussed about this or b) he can't control himself and doesn't have the self-management skills to stay in the line, however much his instincts tell him to step up.

Attacking wise he has done well, but defensively (for his size in particular) he should not be the easy access turnstile he has been countless times through the season.

Which is the same with Handley.

Whilst he scores tries (like wingers should) his defense is still shocking - that side is a constant heart attack.

If Alex stays at Leeds he'll end up in the BR imo & i can even see Konnie ending up there in the future but like others have said Broadbent is our future LC if he continues to develop & match his undoubted potential.

I think you might find Broadbent as the back up utility back next season. There is no back up for fullback in the squad currently (Sutcliffe can not possibly be risked there again). Have a feeling Broadbent might be that cover.

Wouldnt surprise me if Agar went with L.Briscoe or even Handley as bsck up FB.
As far as im aware Broadbent hasnt played FB he was a Centre/Wing at jnr level & all way through his Rhinos Acadamy stint.

Yeah, but one of the complaints from the coaching staff at both the Yorkshire team and at the Rhinos about him is that he doesn't involve himself enough, and stays to his position. In the final Yorkshire game they moved him into the halfs mid second half to get him involved.
