When we lost at Bradford in the cup, it was pointed out at HT and FT in the analysis there how Hurrell almost routinely steps up out of the line and how invariably this was the cause of loads of tries up to and during that game. I know it was doing my nut in watching it from the stands.
I had clocked it weeks before myself and I really hoped having it pointed out methodically on free to air TV on a Saturday might have made the club work on it. But it never really stopped after that point. It happened at Cas weeks later which I went to as well and it drove me insane there too as he continued to do it.
It suggests either a) the coaches aren't fussed about this or b) he can't control himself and doesn't have the self-management skills to stay in the line, however much his instincts tell him to step up.
Attacking wise he has done well, but defensively (for his size in particular) he should not be the easy access turnstile he has been countless times through the season.
