I’d take some persuading that the club goes out of its way to treat loyal lads like Golding as badly as possible.

There are always reasons.

Bottom line is that he’s a good player and I hope the fresh start is good for him. He needs regular first team.

Leeds needed every ounce of cap space they could get their hands on least season. If playing Goulding meant we couldn't have signed Ava, Martin or Lui we could well have gone down. That's a hell of a price for giving a few changes to someone on the outer

Agreed. That’s what leads me to think it’s a salary cap issue. It doesn’t appear, there’s been no rumours of, Golding have a poor attitude, if anything it appears the contrary. So to quite determinedly not play him even when he was the better option would mean to me either it’s an attitude issue (unlikely) or Leeds couldn’t due to the cap.
