You are wrong in respect of pumping money in - Caddick guaranteed the overdraft but didn't put significant sums in to the Rhinos. He may have into RU via the Rhinos - did the RL side write off an i/c loan to the RU? The Rhinos paid off the overdraft out of trading.

The North stand had to be done to retain international cricket at Headingley - so not a vanity project at all. The southstand needed an overhaul it was an embarrassment to the club the state it was in.

I think you're talking about long-term historic stuff whereas I'm referring to the past 18 months since Covid hit.

As for the stadium - when I said vaniity project I mean not that the work didn't need doing but rather that Caddick's bid was favourable because it was a flagship development for both the Caddick company and the Caddick Group (of which Leeds is part).

Everyone needs to realise blake austin is a top quality half back and we aren't going to get better than him anytime soon

Unfortunately I didn’t sign up for the newsletter fast enough but someone said in the comments that Sezer is a done deal, take it with a large pinch of salt though! Sezer would be preferred over Austin but seems in the same mold as Gale?

I'd be very surprised if this comes off. Agar pretty much dismissed the idea a couple of weeks ago, saying Williams wanted to be on the other side of the Pennines.

Darth Agar: This isn't the club he's looking for.

Media: This isn't the club he's looking for.

Agar: He can go about his business.

Media: You can go about your business.

Agar: Move along.

Media: Move along... move along.

Yes I agree, I thought it was nailed on he was going to Warrington, but stranger things have happened

Then Carney got a message that Leeds had spoken to him and offered him the same as Wire but pulled out 2 weeks before when it was said he wanted to stay this side of the Pennines.

If Williams did come to Leeds it would be on a short term deal only as we maybe the only club that has some space on the cap. Warrington probably cannot offer him a deal without releasing a major player. Thats not going to happen unless that player finds a club.
