We did ok. We look more structured pretty clear Luke Gale is a big signing for us and we desperately need him to stay fit all year. He was running the team. We had dummy runners, options and moved the ball well at times. Issue is weve no pace and that concerns me.

Defensively we was good, the tries Wigan scored was on the end of back to back sets.

Positive hit out i thought. Were 2 week from the real stuff though now and thats what counts.

Were a better team than last year but im not sure we are where we all want to be but i understand and accept that but i feel we are improving.

I think Lui has had a poor pre-season. I wouldn't be against McLelland partnering Gale against Hull but know this won't happen.

Lui was good last week. He will start the season at 6 and rightly so if after a several games he isnt coming up with the goods then you maybe you look at changes

It appears Myler is adapting and performing well in the hooker role.
I know its early days but it makes you wonder if Leeming is a necessary signing.

Ive no issue with the Leeming signing. We desperately needed a new 9 whether Leeming is the right man remains to be seen.

Once Leeming is fit it will be interesting to see if Dwyer or Myler gets the bench spot.

I watched it, Tom Holroyd played himself into the 17 for round one. Oledzki good again andI like the looks of Mellor & McLelland.
Other positives, I thought Ward & Walker looked sharp at times and getting back to their best.
