The 2007 was a good watch. We were rather drunk at the match so my memory is a bit blurred. I'd forgotten the wonder pass from Donald for JJB's try and the scandalous 'benefit of the doubt' try awarded to Webb. I do remember that for the game stealing penalty I shouted offside immediately. We were so happy (drunk) we had no idea that our final try was so dodgy. It was only when we were on the train back to Bridgend that a mate phoned us to let us know.

I still don't get why people view that last try as that contentious; where is the ball in relation to the trailing leg of the Leeds player (not his body)? It's relatively clear cut, certainly at very least benefit of doubt which was the ruling back then.

Just rewatched the 2008 GF and it's all the more impressive when you consider that Ashley Klein was practically wearing a St Helens shirt that night. He gave us nothing and gifted them field position with some very, very generous calls.

True some shockers. The supposed obstruction by Ablett when he jumped and missed the man by a metre was the worst.
Halls try was very dodgy though and looked like a knock on to me........

When you watch the games from that era over again ,you could sense it was Leeds opponents who were nervous even though they were favourites.
