To be honest yes I think it was a worse team than Salford. A few players back though can make a huge difference.
Hurrell, for example, (for all the faults he may have) is always dangerous and sides have to put more defenders on him. He can score from nothing and that can have a massive impact on the game. Put him, Ward Walker and 1 or 2 others in and it turns an average team into a good one.
It's not that one man makes all the difference but one piece of brilliance can just lift a team, give the half backs a tiny bit more time and space and get the forwards on the front foot etc.
We need to add to the squad and have some luck keeping players fit.
I don't think many coaches would have got a significantly better result with the team we had out against the team that Saints had out that were looking very good.
