I'd have liked a decent look at greenwood,theres a really good player in there somewhere.Not sure that position will be s priority now though.

A very good question. It’s all about balance and it always has been. I’d retain Bodene for another year and I’d bring a couple in of the righty quality and experience to compliment our excellent young kids. Obviously care needed not to block their path

I really don’t think our back row needs anything, we have some decent quality and cover there with more coming through.

With Leeming and Dwyer at hooker, O’Connor and Parsons maybe in the wings, again think we’re good.

Prop is where we need more quality and consistency. Mik and Holroyd are not matured yet; Ava is quality but add in one more first grade starter quality prop and we will cause the opposition problems.

Halves are OK. We don’t have great depth there but Gale has 7 locked down. If we got a boom 6 become available I could be tempted, but Lui is good.

Centres again no need: Hurrell. Newman. A Sutcliffe, Broadbent, Hall, some others coming through. L Sutcliffe if he stays.

Wings and FB are also well covered with talent coming through.

The only position I think we need another signing is prop; after then it’s a case of allowing the side to mature and signing to fill gaps here and there.

The side is looking well balanced to me now. Lacks some outright star quality but I think several of our young players have international potential.

That would be three which is for mine far too many.I would only be looking at bringing a prop in.

Thanks Cuthbo , at your best and when your team mates were switched on you have been excellent , if you were ever mediocre you never hid or stopped trying . I am sure you will be back at Rhinos in some capacity in the future .

A prop & a HB for me unless we go with Walker at FB Myler/Gsle & Mclellend.
Lui for me just isnt the quality we need not consistent enough.

It's hard to tell with Lui half the time whether or not he's fit. When on form and fit I think he's great at working that right hand side, and in combination with Gale on the left gives us credible threat right across the park and at speed. That makes us very dangerous if our pack is dominant, hence why I think prop is where it's at first.

I wouldn't sign a 6 to replace Lui unless it was a world class player, and those don't come cheap. I don't know who the next off the production line at the club is here after McLelland, I've seen a bit of Anderson but I'm not sure we have the next Danny Mags hiding somewhere.

I really don't like Myler in the halves, he's had his chance there for me - I know our middles were struggling at times but that doesn't excuse his terrible kicking game. I much prefer him chiming into the line from FB and using his undoubted ability to read the game and roam a bit.
