Woody: Can I pour you a draft, Mr. Peterson?
Norm: A little early, isn't it Woody?
Woody: For a beer?
Norm: No, for stupid questions.

Really chuffed for Agar, he has done a great job. He improved team spirit pretty much straight away and while we may be still behind Saints we are at least competing with the top clubs. Well done Rich.

i know mate, and he does deserve credit for sure and will duly get it. and i agree with Les above at this time, in this crazy new world we are living in he probably is by far the best man for the job; the players look more than comfortable with him and that is more than half of the battle. i will still personally reserve full judgement though until next season when all being well fans are back and we are back to some sort of normal.

This season though, what ever happens now has to go down as an absolute success. I for one had us down as zero chance of siverware before it started but delighted to be proved wrong well done to all concerned at the club.

On team spirit, Donaldson seemed to be a bit of a joker in the celebrations. Somehow it seemed a surprise. He always looked a very serious person to me

Full credit to Agar. He has done a brilliant job to date and proved many wrong including myself. He deserves a lot of credit in turning us around. Will he take us back to being serious championship contenders remains to be seen but at this rate I wouldn’t put it past him. A lot of top players speak very highly of him

He looks a good bloke to have around the place. Thought he was trying too hard today and looked too desperate. On reflection he was unlucky with one where we had a knock-on given against him. But he then did the tip tackle which led
To a try.

As others have said this trophy has come out of the blue really and credit to agar and all for getting the win.

Fair play for today, excellent game and another trophy.

I still don't really believe he's the long-term solution to be honest.

It's not how much talent you've got, it's what you do with it that counts.

Re: Richard Agar. : Sat Oct 17, 2020 6:02 pm
I’d best join that queue of doubters too, I hadn’t seen anything in his past to suggest he was what we needed, but he’s done a really good job. It’s easy to see the occasional flogging as justification of a poor decision to bring him in, but it’s much more likely to be a bad day at the office.

Well done Rich, seems you’re not just a nice guy.

I'm really pleased for Agar as he's had a lot negative comments on this board. Sinfield and Heathrington had the confidence to offer him the job which if they didn't think he was up to it they why would they. I don't go with is he was offered it because he's a yes man. Mentioned a few times a grand final winning player once coached by Agar told me he was a very good coach

"Brian McDermott, with a wry smile, nods when asked if he remembers a specific incident which made him realise he was a prick. 'I do', he murmurs."

He gets great feedback from players who played for him. It's the feckwits who like to think they know what they're talking about who bag him.

He mentioned this in his presser, not in the same way though :-)
