Just shows for me the changes the club made in the off season to the conditioning team and physios hasn’t worked. We’ve got a lot to go through.

This sounds routine to me, fingers crossed. They’ll just have been assessing bone density / healing and concluded it wasn’t far enough along to play yet.

Hopefully in 6 weeks he’ll be about there again.

Well if it's as simple as that and he's fit then yeah, get him back in this year. I presumed was a re-injury of some sort, which would have been more serious......

Looking at this we could have Handley, Smith, Holroyd, Thompson, Sutcliffe & Mclelland back v Salford next week. Big boost considering we could lose Tetevano, Prior, Hurrell and Oledzki for International game.

Downside as mentioned before is the effect Covid might have had on the 6 players who tested positive.
Look how Martin was affected.

People seem to have jumped on him saying he felt more breathless for a while after COVID. He's Asthmatic too. Suspect his performances will be looked on in that light now, which is both untrue, and unfair on the player...
