Interesting one this.
Clearly the club don’t think McLelland is good enough.
And they don’t see Myler playing in the halves.
Or maybe Eastmond will cover full back?
Really hope he sees more action on the pitch than on the treatment table.

Callum will likely play alongside Eastmond with Myler thankfully now free to olay Fullback

Maybe Gale won’t be back for the start and at least we don’t have to rush him back now

Most players returning from Union are a shadow of their former self so let`s hope he`s an exception.
It`s a bit worrying that he was injury prone playing Union and is now returning to a more physical sport in League.

I think its a bit of a masterstroke

Partial salary cap exemption.
Lui crocked and realistically its his last year
Walker crocked (who knows how long)

Eastmond and Gale in the halves allows Myler to FB with McClelland backup.

If we need a half for 2022 if Luis leaves - who are you going to spend £££££ on from the NRL or SL (and it would be £££££) - Eastmond makes sense.

Will he still have the X-factor? Who knows but its still a 'high profile' signing.

Interesting move but not sure he can stay healthy anymore. He has hardly played for 2 years has he?

It might work out and if it does it will be great but lets see.

Worth the gamble tho.

Spot on with your comments about McLelland not being good enough and that came from the top last season. I am hoping that McLelland gets his finger out and starts to prove some people wrong. If he cannot force his way into the side now he never will, maybe with this opportunity he will grab it with both hands.

Just Hope Eastmond doesn't pick up any injuries, he has spent half of his career out injured, such bad luck with Injuries. Without the injuries he would have been an established Union international, maybe it will work out for us and we get the best out of him.

Minimal risk here. Was a great player. Pretty much salary cap exemption for this year. We get to have a good look at him. Let’s hope he gets back to the player he was.

In answer to some of the queries. No he's not the player that left. Hardly strung 5 gamrs together in last 5 years due to injury.......
High profile signing, but sadly Im not sure how many games he'll play.....
I reckon we'll start at Fullback, would be alot to ask him to go straight back into the halves....
