Quite fitting that they rightly got their arses handed to them
think a similar thing happened to us with red hair dye at sts

The rivalry between the Rhinos and Bulls late 1990's to mid 2000's was amazing and both stadiums were regularly filled to capacity before the RFL / Sky? diluted the fixtures and made us play each other 4 or 5 times per season

The rivalry in the hey days between the Rhinos and the Bulls was a cash cow for both clubs and I really miss those big games now a days due to the Bulls demise

You are correct Doc and I also hated that silly gimmick too by the club ,Even though it was in aid of sport relief and some cash was earned for the cause in the process of our deserved booty kicking that day

This game was also Stevie Wards first team debut

Up until the Rob Burrow match last year I hadn't been to Headingley since 2014. Our games were my favourite away trip. Some good pubs and good fish n chips nearby, easy to get to, a big match occasion and quite often a win and lot of enjoyable posts to read on here for the week afterwards. Halcyon days.

All seems like a lifetime ago now and probably will never happen again.

That 1998 pack was very good and hard a proper hard edge about it - something Leeds had lacked for the previous 15 years or so.

Then dayslong gone. RFL more interested in rule changes and suspending players than supporting fierce local rivalries.....

These things are in no way related. You really need to let go of the legitimate suspension of a Leeds player for foul play.

Still astounds me how a bunch of misfits slung together from Keighley and Sheffield were so good.

Muzza was a genius of a coach, Leeds were so good to watch when bullying the life out of all the others.

Wasn't it Murray who started off the two hookers game? Lee Jackson was no slouch, then brought Tez on to bash tired bodies. on the note of Hookers, Dean Lawford was the best passer of a ball I've ever seen, and that includes NRL. Not the best player, but could he hit the first receiver with a pin point ball or what!

The 'Men in black' game, and the win at Central Park the same season will go down in Leeds folklore.

Great times

I regret not being at Odsal for that game (I think it was Easter Sunday and my mum and dad had invited family around for lunch  ). However the game at Pie Park remains perhaps the most brutal match I've ever seen, and still one of my top five Leeds games (excl GFs). Brad Godden scoring that try to win it. Absolutely unbelievable. I was walking on air for the rest of the week.
