I'm not working out what Leicester will want Kev to actually do? I assume they would be keeping Steve Borthwick as DOR as he actually seems to be improving Leicester this season (although that's not hard as they were absolute rubbish last year). Kev would surely not be a front line coach? Although maybe that's it. Kev might see his future coaching in RU rather than "administration" in league. Leicester would be as good a place as any to start learning the job.

I agree with Bang, if he does go and it's basically a coaching position, it wouldn't look great for league.

If I can play devil's advocate, would it not say that Union has to poach from League as they don't have people
with the necessary talent or skills.

To add to my previous message I've just seen it confirmed that he will be leaving at the end of the season.

You could. You definitely could say that.

Seems to me to be a big loss to Leeds and RL
I would prefer Hetherington to retire and Sinny be allowed to restructure the club including bring the player recruitment policy up to the levels of the successful RL clubs.
Hetherington has not moved with the times and needs to retire. IMHO

It sounds as if Kevin was happy with the amount of administration involved with the job, so has decided to take up a role focused more on coaching and performance (with a higher salary!). Fair play to him.

It'll be interesting to see who replaces him, as it's clearly a very difficult and specialised role.

That's amongst the most insane things i've seen on here in the past few years.
Sinfield has barely got to grips with running the football department yet you'd want him to take over the running of the entire business? Do you actually know what Hetherington does in his role as CEO?

What is Kevin Sinfield’s experience in running a business? How does anybody know he’s actually any good in off field matters anyway?

I can’t believe the stick Hetherington gets sometimes.

He has been the single most important individual to Leeds’ recent success. More than an coach or player. There is no one better than him in super league at what he does.

Yes, he can be cheap. Yes, there’s been a few dodgy signings over the years. But overall, what a difference he’s made!
