Bentley is brilliant, you've signed a top player. I think last night answered the Bateman/Bentley debate.

Err sorry - no it didn’t! All it did was emphasise that our coach can’t even inspire seasoned internationals. Any team would be glad to have Bateman and Farrell but at the moment they must look forward to playing about as much as Wigan fans - myself included - look forward to watching them!

Agreed a starting pack of

Oledski
Prior
mellor
Bentley
Tetevano

And subs of at least
Holroyd
Gannon

Is one of if not the best in the comp

I just hope we get to see them together consistently should see is laying down a real good platform form Sezer/Gale/Austin to shine

Really looking forward to next season

Yeah it's not far off until the suspensions and injuries kick in.Mellors work rate is good but he is just too nice.Lke Seth we could do with another nasty now that King is going.

Think it’s the same with most teams, once injuries and suspensions kick in then it is tough, it is a salary cap sport that’s how it works.

It terms or the nasty, I see loads of comments saying we need a big horrible prop, we need a nasty prop etc. I agree we do but the issue is so do most of the teams in the comp so it isn’t easy to find one.

I think playing Tetevano at prop would be a start as it gives us 4 real prop options. We release king and bring in another and we have 5.

I personally don’t agree with the start as big as possible idea, maybe against Saints who start fast but you need serious fire power from the bench. When we load up we look good to start then we drop massively when we rotate. Don’t mind having a big nasty prop who only plays 25-30 mins if we use him properly and he changes the momentum of the game when he comes on.

To me looks like Farrell is on the decline. He's a player who has always punched above his weight and one I've got nothing but respect for. But this season he looks behind his usual pace a touch.

Bateman just isn't the player he used to be. Bentley completely dominated him tonight, won the battle with the ball, with his his tackling and by having the entire Wigan team on strings for the majority of the game. He is what Bateman was before he went to the NRL. I do wonder if Bateman needs an operation or something, he seems to have none of the power or impact he used to have. You've got a player in Pearce-Paul though, he's your best forward at the moment.

I would agree with all of that.
Apart from Bateman pulling Bentley`s head down at the ptb Bentley dominated him which takes some doing and Bateman didn`t want to know.
Pearce Paul is certainly one to watch and has the aggression too.

Bateman is just having a poor season. He’s top drawer still.

Or perhaps he’s just not as motivated anymore. He may think ‘he’s been there and done it’.

Actually really looking forward to seeing Bentley in blue and amber after watching last night's Wigan Saints game. Bit of an animal isn't he
