He seems to have everything apart from the size, which would tell at international level.

Sorry what level? Is that still a thing?

Worth bearing in mind that I think Bentley was sent on with instructions to wreak a bit of havoc and increase the intensity on Saints' side.
Sure he went over the edge more than a bit but it's better to be have that ability and learn to reign it in than to not have it in the first place.
With better coaching at Leeds he should be able to develop that controlled aspect of his game hopefully.

Exactly....our back row especially has been missing aggression for many years. Yes he will give many penalties away (so did Ablett & JJB and others) but his work rate, aggression, spite and fact he winds opposition players (and fans) up will be good to see as for years now all our backrowers have been too ‘nice’

He looked to try be involved in every tackle. Clearly the amount of penalties and restarts he conceded was not helpful, however, it was clear, he was just trying to make an impression after a lengthy period out: a little over enthusiastic.

I felt the yellow was a touch harsh, albeit I think it was more down to the number of penalties Saints had conceded as a whole: they were on their final chance. I felt the penalty should have been reversed by the way McShane and Matautia reacted to the most minor of and unintentional palms to the face.

Deary me people having a go at the lad already… had a long lay off probably trying too hard to make an impact and let it get better of him. Honestly what a bloody load of nonsense!!

Whats a load of nonsense is not being able to comment on a players performance in one single game without posts like yours getting overly defensive, no ones said he's a bad player, just that he had a bad game last night, which he did, all players have them, even the best ones. Everyone knows he's been injured and most likely too eager, dosnt change the fact he was poor last night.

Agreed, he's a good player, im commenting on his performance from last night in isolation, not on his overall quality as a player. He was clearly fired up after so long out, to the point that he became a hindrance to his team on this occasion.

I don`t even think he had a poor game.
Not sure how many tackles he made in the short period of time he was on the pitch but it looked impressive to me.
He was put on to combat the aggression the Cas players had just like they did against us the week before and he didn`t let them down.

Spot on mate. The only reason JJB gave away so many penalties was because he did about a thousand tackles a game! I saw someone on Twitter call Prior a liability last week after the Wire game. I honestly don’t know what some people want, and watch in that regard.

Love JJB but my word he drove me nuts with daft penalties at times.
