I just need Christopher back on this forum now so I can sub myself.
As a club, if we cannot find the right signings and performances for top 4 next year then some serious changes are required. And not just a head coach - RS is the fifth attempt since we were good.
Personally I see progress. Croft, if we can keep him til contract ends at least, is someone we can fit the jigsaw pieces around. I still say we are only 2-3 star players short now.
We have to secure those players. I don’t want us just to catch the likes of Wigan; we should be passing them. That means we need to spend, really get our youth working and be more ambitious.
If we don’t start challenging the top we are in danger of losing the better players we do have. This is the true test of RS for me.

Agree with this. Rebuilding from that will make the current period pale into insignificance. The period we're in, and how we come out of it, will define the clubs standing for many a year.

Players like Lumb, Cassell, Smith, Lloyd, Simpson and some others are the backbone of our success for years to come, with a little luck. Gannon too if his head gets right. There are some good, talented, big lads coming through now and the time is right to make a run for glory with a couple more marquee type players.
Christopher will have his hands full enough with his podcast presenters as they mostly want Rohan gone too.
I said ill give it 8-10 games after the disaster that was last season. Now we're at that point, if anyone is seeing a team that is playing a brand of Rugby and progressing week to week, that shows promise of at least a top 5 finish, then I must be watching something different. I just dont know how anyone cant see that we're not moving forward with RS in charge, hes had his first choice hand selected spine available pretty much every game and we look so disjoined.
The Lot Pod kindly share the stats from week to week and it was commented that were ranking well down the table by most metrics.
Stats are just numbers - if you’re poor in one area it has a knock on effect in others. I keep banging on about errors and that’s been my biggest issue with the side this season.
Fundamentally I wasn’t expecting or demanding us to be top 4 this season. If some people were then you’re likely to feel disappointed if course. It’s not like we all agreed that we should finish 3rd this year or else we’ll form a picket line around HQ.
I would say that if you cannot see we are moving forward compared to any time since Brian Mac years then I’m equally exasperated. We’re still not where we should be if course.
If we don’t make at least 2 impressive signings for 2025 I’ll join the voodooing myself.
OK leaving the stats out i can seee with my own eyes that were a basketcase. In the rugby we play week to week, no im not seeing progress. with the investment and opportunity RS has had 5th place this season should be a minimum. Hes hand picked Millar, Croft, Ackers and Frawley and hasnt got the best out of them i dont anticipate throwing more money at the problem will be the answer.
I just think “basket case” @quotationpolice is hyperbole.
Miller, Handley, Newman, JOC, Smith and plenty of other players have been in good form this season overall. How much better do you expect Handley should have been playing?
The first half against Saints in the league was the best I’ve seen Leeds play in an age.
We have been poor at other times. There are aspects of how we play I don’t like either. But we really aren’t hopeless.
Where have i said anything about Handley? Him having a good season and the team being collectively poor arent mutually exc;usive. We'll disagree then as the way smith wants to play the game goes against all aspects of any team thats achieved success in RL history. If we finish 5th or above ill bow to your optimism but if you think lower than that is acceptable then we really are on different pages.
