Impossible to genuinely name just one film IMO

I'm going to avoid multi film series like LotR etc

Shawshank Redemption is a masterpiece
Schindlers List is the least enjoyable but most captivating and emotionally stirring movie I've ever experienced

Avoiding some of the more obvious 'big' films I'd have to go for
Love Honour and Obey starring Ray Winstone, Jonny Lee Miller and Judy Law. Great indie film and funny to boot.

Full Metal Jacket, The Drill instructor was awesome in the first 20 minutes.
Se7en is a great film.
6ixth Sense had me gripped
