Secretary - not everyone's cup of tea, but if you fancy a quirky, erotic and slightly twisted take on the old theory that there's someone for everyone, then this is highly recommended; great performances from Maggie Gylenhaal (sp) and James Spader and some absolutely marvellous spanking, if you like that sort of thing.

The Hobbit 2 - Oh dear. As a lifelong Tolkien fan and a big admirer of the LotR movies, this is a real let down; the film is too long, very dull and deviates so far from the source material that it becomes irritating. It's particularly irksome that they've jemmied Legolas into a major part and turned him into Batman.

2.75 hours and 10 quid that I will never get back; 5/10.
