A few I've caught recently:

Odd Thomas - 8/10, a bit different and good for it.
47 Ronin - 5/10, can Keanu Reeves actually change his facial expression?
Wolf of Wall Street - 8/10, not much to add to previous reviews, an enjoyable romp.
Lone Survivor - 8/10, does exactly what it says in the tin and does it well.
Captain Phillips - 7/10, decent enough without being too engaging.
The Patrol - 4/10, not a lot happens and doesn't really go anywhere.
I Am Soldier - 6/10, started well, a decent take on SAS selection but after all that training the climactic scenes are disappointing.
Ender's Game - 5/10, average, lots of nice CGI. An annoying story.
The Last Days On Mars - 8/10, well shot, a nice mix of characters and engaging story.

Thought worlds end was excellent maybe because it reminded me of my youth also had a mate who's never really moved On from the nineties and watched dom Hemingway last night which had the most over acted performance I've ever seen from Jude law

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo (2011) - 6.5/10.

Daniel Craig is far too boring and wooden for my liking, Rooney Mara though is excellent as Lisbeth Salander - closer to the character in the book than Noomi Rapace in the original film version.

Godzilla 8/10

Huge fan of the old Godzilla films, grew up watching them from about 5 years old. Veeeeery slow burner, and Godzilla isn't in it much until the end. Bryan Cranston aside the characters are quite bland so the middle is a bit stretched and uninteresting. However come the end, when the gloves come off, I absolutely loved it! Was awesome to see what those old Godzilla films would look like with a budget and awesome special effects, and the slow pacing earlier helps make the big end of film mash up even more special.

If you've never seen a Godzilla film it all depends on if you like monster movies. Those that grew up on them like myself will probably enjoy it. Worth a go, and definitely better than the awful, AWFUL 1998 film.

I concur - a dreadful film; god knows what's happened to Guillermo Del Toro, but this turd is a far cry from Pan's Labyrinth.
