X-Men: Days of Future Past - 8/10

Very good and makes up for the last one which was poor. A definite 'cinema movie' to get the experience and full appreciation of the film.

Cannot agree with that 6/10 at the best.

Found it slow and ponderous at times and i love X men

Jimmy's Hall 6/10 - Ken Loach's latest and possibly last film. Bit of a follow on piece from 'The Wind that Shakes the Barley' but I have a bit of a problem with Loach's (in my opinion) very black and white view of the Irish Civil War, and I say that as a fan of his work. The lead actor is good as the charismatic Jimmy who falls foul of the local priest played by Jim Norton ( Bishop Brennan from Father Ted) - the dialogue clunks a bit in places but worth a look even if it isn't one of Loach's best.

American Hustle - Expected a lot more. Worth a watch for the 70s experience and soundtrack but far from a classic. 5/10

Ted - Enjoyed it and a few scenes had me in stitches. 7/10

Senna - I bought it ages ago but only just got round to watching it (it took me 14 years to see Pulp Fiction!). A fantastic documentary film with fascinating footage you'd rarely get to see. 9/10

Top Dog - 6/10

Football firm head honcho takes on the leader of a criminal gang after a bust up about "ownership" of a boozer. A bit far fetched but the storyline had a bit of a "hit home" scenario about the implications of living that sort of life and what can happen.

Elysium - 7/10

Great start, I was fascinated by the world created but then it just became a standard goodie vs baddie.
Wanted to see far more about the world on earth and on Elysium and thought it could've been a better/more thoughtful ending rather than just a fight against the villain.

Raid 2 / 10 Another piece of magic from Gareth Evans & Iko Uwais. Some great action shots and Superbly choreographed fight scenes from the beginning to the end , Best Ive seen in any film , If you like the first Raid movie , You'll love this one .
Hollywood , Leave this franchise alone !!
