In Bruges - A great film, with some classic Brit dark humour, and contains one of my favourite one-line comebacks

Just got back from malta yesterday do got some serious film catching so got to do ,
3 so far today ...captain America/winter soldier 9/10 loved it
Purge 5/10 meh
Divergent 6/10 worth a watch
Gonna watch machete kills now

Guardians of the Galaxy: 7/10. Excellent visuals, good plot and healthy levels of humour in this mad little picture. Only criticisms would be too much plot packed in at times and too many visuals flashing past before you can make sense if it. But it's definitely worth a watch.

Saw 3 big releases over the last couple of weeks, all in their 2D varient:

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes - talking monkey's with guns, what's not to like !? I enjoyed this one the most.

Guardians of the Galaxy - nice bunch of off the wall heroes, but I felt that Marvel should have made it more adult orientated, with a 15 rating, rather than the toned down 12A to maximise profit.

Hercules - reasonable adventure film, albeit I expected it to be a full on fantasy/mythology creature feature, which it wasn't, and instead got a mundane power struggle (and the brief story behind the "legends").

I saw a locum optician a few months ago and whilst chatting, he said, "I do film work mainly - I only work in practice between films." "Worked on anything I might have heard of?" says I, assuming the answer would be no. "I just got finished on Guardians of the Galaxy," he replies, "you might have heard of that? I was in charge of Zoe Saldana's contact lenses." "Is she that fit in real life?" "Fitter."

The amazing spiderman 2 8.5/10 really enjoyed it , gonna be intresting to which way the future of this franchise is gonna go
