Deadpool. Very funny and well directed. Crammed full of jokes and doesn't take itself seriously. Recommended to those with a juvenile yet adult sense of humour.

I also saw Spotlight, starring Michael Keaton about the true story of the cover-ups by the Catholic Church of priests molesting children in Boston. Considering the dark subject matter the film is a real masterpiece and deserves much more recognition. Incredibly well written and acted, I urge people to go and see it.

We went to see Spotlight last night. I didn't think it would appeal to me tbh but since it picked up best picture at the Oscars I thought I would give it a go. I thought it was excellent. As you can imagine from the subject, it's not exactly the feel good film of the year, but I would urge anyone to go see it. Really compelling stuff. I also kind of expected it to just be a vehicle to bash the Catholic Church, but it wasn't, it was very sensitively handled I felt.
