The Bourne Legacy - good cast (Renner, Norton, Weisz) but a bit disappointing. Let down by the story, even though it tries to run parallel to the Ultimatum. 6/10

The Stranger Within...1/10

Think of the worst film you ever saw, and you won't come close to this "thriller". So forgettable that I've already forgot the storyline, but after 10 minutes I was hoping the heroine would actually die. Poor script, corny lines, bad sets and acting that Wellard out of eastenders would be ashamed of.

Only saving grace to the film was William Baldwins hairdo, which never changed once during the film. A true shocker of a film.

World War Z - started with so much promise but seemed to quickly peter out around a limping plot despite stunning visuals. Enjoyable if not taken too seriously. 6/10

Pacific Rim - stupid, nonsensical, predictable, full of huge visuals and action. Great if you like that sort of thing and fancy a few mindless hours with a beer and a pizza. A juvenile action film that seems aimed at selling action figures. Harmless fun, won't win any Oscars. 5/10

Star Trek: Into Darkness - a strong follow-on to the 2009 Star Trek, in fact possibly one of those rare sequels that betters the original. Can't really fault it, excellent performances and visuals and a lively plot. 9/10

Man of Steel - smashes the 2006 effort out of the ball park for me. A little more serious than other Superman films but provides more background to the story and deeper insight into Clark Kent's youth. A little OTT on the fighting scenes but nevertheless excellent. 8/10

The Wolverine - Another good Wolverine movie. Plot development was a little predictable and at times frustratingly moody although the background story was interesting and performances strong. A good solid effort well worth a watch. 8/10

The Look of Love (biopic of Paul Paymond) 6/10. It gets +0.5 for not having the ABC song in it at all, but it gets -0.5 for the black and white gimmick. I'd also give it 2 extra stars for Tamsin Egerton, because she's lovely.

Definitely strongly influenced by it. Think they are both cool films.
