All of it? While there are genres that clearly aren't for me, I'm always loathe to write off entire segments of music. You never know, you might find a nugget somewhere.

Very true, some excellent classic hip hop tunes from the early/mid 90's. Regulate, for starters!
Been pretty much a crap genre since around 2000 though, with nonsense like Lil Wayne/John etc as the supposed stand out artists!!

I detest the entire culture of Rap/Hip Hop, the sampling other peoples hard work is not classed as music in my eyes imo, i am a huge Rock and Metal fan but i also love Blues, Jazz, early 90's rave tunes, Blugrass, 70's & 80's Pop and a bit of Country, i will never listen to Rap as long as i exist

Myself, I've tried the mainstream rap, the acclaimed rap and the rap my friends have told me I would like - I genuinely did not like any of it, no matter how hard I try.

I agree about the sampling of other peoples music, but the genre is more about the lyrics the artist uses, over the song they lift the sample from - or it should/used to be anyway!

That's absolutely fine. I'm not going to tell people what they're allowed to like or dislike (not until I hold the reins of absolute power, anyway)

Fine. I'd just hate to think of you missing out on a number of delights. Only thing I'd take issue with is your stance on sampling, which can be innovative, creative and other things ending in ive. It can be terrible as well, of course.
I'm normally not into rap that much, but been going through a phase of listening to it at the moment (Kendrick Lamar and A$AP Rocky). Think I get tired of listening to the same genre of music sometimes and like a bit of change.
