Hansen only played for the first half.

Saints no.10 Danny Cooper? is a monster

m.o.m. IMO was Wigans Mark Flanagan who completely overplayed Kyle Eastmond.
Flanagan is far too good for reserve team rugby, I really don't know what is going to happen with him.

What's your opinion on the reserve grade this year, Rogues? Any improvements?

and there lies the major problem with british rugby league.too good for the reserves, not good enough for first team.there are countless players in this position.a loan spell at a championship club seems the only option.

Unfortunately not.

It looks like it'll be Wigan and Saints again, although Warrington appear to be doing o.k.but I haven't seen them to comment.

If you have a look at Bilko's stats http://wigan.rlfans.com/fusion_pages/index.php?page_id=873 you will see that Wigan have more or less strolled through their games.

That's no good for the players as it is not preparing them for the next step.
Maybe they should allow the top four clubs from the reserve league to play in the Championship. I really don't know the answer.

Do you think that may be down to Eastmond's attitude on the night?

I was talking to an academy coach a few weeks ago, and he was telling me he lacks motivation now for anything other than the first team.

Quite possibly, it sometimes happens with young players who once they get a taste of first team rugby start to believe they are better than they are.

For a lad like Eastmond, that can do two things.

It can make him great or it can break him. If he believes the hype, but plays with that swagger, he could be a fantastic player to watch. If he believes the hype and goes all hollywood, it's going to implode on him.

Wigan won the game comfortably.

Eastmond played but apart from one break did very little.

Ainscough scored one try but had a nightmare defensively.

Eastmond and Lomax were our best players IMO. It's difficult for the backs to dominate when the pack isn't making good yards. I was wondering who the number 10 was aswell (Danny Cooper), he was about our only forward who consistently made good yards.

I agree on Flanagan, he was very good. Ainscough made huge yards for you with the ball in hand. He's too big and strong for the reserves.

How can you say Eastmond had a good game. Last 10 minutes we were attacking and he was still in the wigan line. Looked disinterested to me. Only shows himself when he wants. Cooper had a crackin game. Thought the forwards did really well. That woman calling Bossie baldy and get off him got on my nerves. With fans like that glad we don't play them every week I'd end up killer er.

Eastmond was ok in parts, including a very good solo-try.

However, towards the end of the game he started to pretend he was injured again, and didn't show interest.
