On young uns, I saw a young Warrington full back play at Orrell yesterday.

His name was Rhys Evans, he looked a real talented player, beat the first man with ease every time he got the ball.

Warrington won the academy game at Orrell 30-20.
Wigan won the reserve game at Wilderspool 44 - 22.

How did Saints reserves and academy go over the weekend?

Reserves got beat against Harelquins 40-38 (I think). I'm not sure about the academy.

My thoughts too. It looks as though Wire have found a belter.

Sometimes you see a player and you just know he can play. It was the ease with which he beat his man every time that impressed me, although he did take a wrong option once when he was defending, so just a 9.8 from me I'm afraid.

Warringtons youth system does seem to be having a bit of a resurgence. At least the old Lancashire clubs still produce the talent.
