pubs n clubs in Newcastle : Tue May 19, 2009 10:52 am
pub guides to newcastle.

Hey guys, for those who are planning a day out in newcastle or even better an overnight stay, here is a guide to our local pubs, and eateries.

haymarket area. more of a student scene, and yes Reacher, as you stated, this is where the pacific bar is. great bar! and you have the crows nest, and a few others which are more popular with the football crowd on the way to st james park.

the gate. everything indoors, from restaraunts, a massive casino, and about 8 pubs, with a lloyds weatherspoons, and players bars a must. its usually packed with stag and hen nights and is superb....

the bigg market... so many bars in one place, a party atmosphere, but is spoilt by fighting and under age drinking and drugs. you will enjoy it but keep ya wits bout ya!!!!

central station area... a very popular area of drinking, with the lodge and revolutions down there. and a bit of cheese in flares. oh and the long bar is good too full of women...

pink triangle...near the central station, gay bars for our same sexed friends, and powerhouse is your gay night club

quayside... brilliant but expensive. stacks of bars right on the river, and more classy than the other places. though if its a nice night its superb, with all of the bridges lit up too...

you will love every second of " the toon " and for all you single lads and lasses its mecca, paradise etc etc

Ok guys, ive been chatting to DD and Dave Howarth, and still need to confirm with Al Turner, about getting a good venue for everyone to watch the FA Cup final in a good bar slap in the middle of the city centre. So I have spoken to players bar in the gate, who have Newcastles biggest screen, and they will give a free shot to anyone who asks and says they are from St Helens. I have provisionaly told them a couple of coaches are coming up, also any other Saints fans may want to head there also??? Its a great bar, and some size inside! Also i have spoke to Tiger Tiger for the night time for anyone who is staying over, and I have some vip passes ( 40 so far ) for anyone who wants to go clubbing there. Basically, you get a free shot, and free entry before 11. After 11 you have to pay, but you can queue jump. I will give these passes to Dave and Al if they are happy to give them out. As a second night time option, revolutions bar near the central station will give a free shot, and a free queue jump before 11 if you quote St Helens rugby league club at the door. Best I can do for you guys. Dave can you google maps or something for the gate, and central station. About 5 mins walk from each other? Dave are you happy with players bar, so I can confirm with the lads, Sstaying. ame for you Al? This is open to any Saints fans travelling and staying
