Only thing i personally disagreed with Eamonn on was the top 3 playoff.
I do agree that the top 8 is a joke as is the pick the side you want to play shennanigans. I prefer the original top 5 format.

That was the best system IMO.
It rewarded the team that finished top by giving them the first week off and then they only had to win one game to get to the Grand Final.

It was also interesting to note that the vote to expand the playoffs was taken by the clubs. A classic case of turkeys voting for christmas.
I dont think it will therefore be long before some bright spark at the RFL suggests a top 14 playoff.

It really smacks of Nigel Wood type thinking

As Mugwump says. they are lazy journalists. Kinsella is by far the best of them, I'm sure he would have dug a little deeper last night.

It sounds like a Nigel Wood idea to me, and remember what he did to Halifax.

My recent opinion of Kinsella is that he is a Wigan fan. That comes from what I have seen of his postings on the boards. He would have probably asked the same questions as you and countless other Wigan fans trying to probe into our affairs.
