This shows that the problem at the club is not the squad, it's the coaching and the selections.

Apparently the 2nds played open entertaining rugby and it was the best performance from a Saints team at Langtree Park. The benefit of having a coach that has a few tears experience being the head coach of a team.

I had a feeling it was the game to go to this weekend.

Some lovely tries scored. Regan Grace scored 2 and Jack Ashworth got 2 in the second row

Wigan had less first teamers playing than us. Only ones that've played first team Super League are Oliver Gildart and Lee Mossop. A few others like Gregson, Ganson and Fell have played pre season games.

I watched the tries from the game on Wigan t.v last night and Saints looked a far bigger and better team. Graces' first try was excellent.

Tony Suffolk is a strange one, must be getting on for 30 but on trial with us? Got a long term ban last year playing for Rochdale, was going to play lower league in Australia last I heard. Was a cracking amateur player.

It's good to mix it up and have some older heads to guide the kids a bit. Having a reserve league is brilliant, and I hope more SL teams join in.
