Except that doesn't make for a winning race. I'm sure our World Champ has a car which sticks to the 'single design' concept and look where that's getting him this season! Besides, despite the bitchin, the powers that be decided that the Brawn car was legal so it seems to me that it's up to the other manufacturers to beat them at their own game, no?

I know what you are saying, but their success isn't due to some team wide increase in performance and effort, it's due to probably one engineer/work team exploiting the new regulations better than the other teams.

I'd just be interested to see which driver and team would win if the cars were identical. At the moment the drivers could pretty much be picked at random and I reckon the overall placings of each team would be very, very similar.

Back to rugby, I watched The SL show, and thought Harry, was a bit out of order, when he was talking about leon Walkers parents interview, and how they had said, (to quote Harry, not his parents), ' They don't blame the lad who DID IT.' It made it sound like it was the Welsh player who was at fault.

While not agreeing completely with this - it is the basis of why I will never see this as a sport - sport is 2 (or more) humans who use their genetics and training to compete against each other to determine an outcome once one of those sides starts to get an advantage through money or external design it ceases to be a sport (in my eyes anyway)
