The Grand Final is pretty much always won by the team that is in better condition going into the play offs. There is always one of the two sides that are going well and another struggling through. For us to win the Grand Final we will have to use the squad well and trust the young players.

Graham for one needs a week off.

I have said before that Graham will end up like Fielden at this rate. The guy needs at least a week off too recharge his batteries.

If the possibilty arises that we could be 6 points ahead in the league with 3 games to go then the team could be rotated in the last 3 games to top up the players energy reserves.

The last time we did the double in 2006, was that the season the "sick notes" came out on a few of the latter games.

Cant see us being six points clear with three games left matey to be honest. Saints will lose at least a couple of games it just depends on how Leeds react over there appaulling run of form. Knowing Leeds like we all do the will probably put on a 10-15 game winning streak now. They arent back to back Super League Champions for nothing.

aye, we sent the academy team to France in August 2006 - the week before the cup final. Cant see us being in a position to do the same at all this year though.

That's true to a degree - Leeds looked awful when we stuffed them in the 2008 Qualifying semi yet we all know what happended two weeks later...

An alternative plan
Race through the league, get 5ish games clear, rest for 4 matches and then bring back better players with 2/3 games of the regular season left and the playoffsc its a plan, i'm not saying its a great plan, but its a plan

I've got a plan as well. Get United to put a roof on Old Trafford. Or is it only me that thinks we only lose cause of the rain !!
