Surely the magic of the old Wembley was in large part down to its history. We used to venerate it because of the amazing events that had taken place there over the years.
No brand new stadium can hope to compete with that, but given some time the new Wembley will begin to wield some of that aura that comes only from tradition. It will also help if the Club England seats are given over to the public once the ten years (or whatever the lease term was) are up, as that half empty strip does detract from the atmosphere a little.
I think it's a beautiful stadium.
