That would tie in with a lot of the comments from ex-Saint Salford players on twitter over recent weeks.

But it wouldn't half weaken our squad further. All our aggression gone with Jammer and Scott leaving. We'd be a team of pansies to quote King Julian from Madagascar.

I hope to God this isnt true...Moore has been outstanding for us this season and can cover either hooker or back row so is a good versatile player to have around. As said before, he also has a bit of "bar-steward" in him that quite a lot of our players seem to lack and isnt scared to get stuck in. Hope he stays!!

But, if he's done unspeakable things off the pitch, the club need to decide what example he's setting to the other players.

It did say that it would leave some salary cap space for further signings but I don't know what quality we would get with Scott's wages.

Hopefully somebody who doesn't follow up every piece of good play with a penalty or a knock on.

A good, agressive, hand working player - but one with rocks for brains, both on and off the pitch.

He's been great this season and absolutely fantastic since he got into trouble.

Our team will miss his aggression. Bar Jammer and Soliola there is no one who has even a slight element of the dog in them. We need that when teams like Wigan and Warrington have sides full of aggressive players.

I like him, but he's a nugget. The Wigan cup game for example - throwing himself around - great. Then a knock on, followed by a penalty and Wigan are in for a try.

He hasn't got the grey matter to be a genuinely top player. For all his aggression, he's a light year away in usefulness than someone like Clough who just gets on with his job without the same bite.

I would imagine that Flanagan will offer as much as Moore but without the brain farts. Shame, because Scott is clearly talented, but just lacks the necessary smarts.

He makes mistakes and isn't perfect, fine. But without the likes of him and Jammer we'll just be a side who accepts failure and rolls over too easily. Rewatch his performance against Huddersfield, his defense was fantastic. Without him Shirley would have run riot.

I don't need to re-watch it - it was the typical Scott Moore performance. Great endeavour and aggression in defence, undermined by mind numbingly stupid actions.

One of his big shots on Shirley he followed immediately with a penalty. Totally undermines the effort he put in to wallop him by piggy packing them up field into a dangerous position in a close game. It's exactly the sort of thing that stops him being a top player.

But I know you have a thing about aggression, hence loudly singing the praises of a player like Ferriol whilst playing down a player like Clough, despite Clough being wildly more effective as a prop than his more agressive French buddy.

It's not all about aggression - Wigan's defence is so good because it is so organised and players are conditioned to make the right decisions, not because they try to fly out and muller you. There is a place for smart players - which is why I fancy MM at Wigan might struggle to pick Hock in the big games. No doubting his aggression and application, but I'm not sure MM will admire his decision making in big, close games.
