I think Tony Smith post match summed it up well for his team." We need to be more consistent against the BIGGER teams", at least Tony knows his place in the grandeur of things.

It was a poor show really. No energy no sparkle.

Percival and savellio were great, honorable mention for swift.

The rest, meh.

LMS had a mare, as did via. Mose was back asleep. Just not good enough.

Similar to the semifinal against Leeds we hit a good game and then nose dive a week later.
We can't blame turn around as Warrington had a shorter one.

Thankfully we can write it off as a bad result.

If we play better next week no one will care.

I thought Swift played well for you, although apart from Savelio non of the forwards turned up, really. It may just be me, but I'm not sure what Greenwood does to warrant the hype. He's a big unit, and he runs good lines near the try line, but is his all round contribution good enough?

Aren't most of the top teams showing that the Super 8s is just harder than the simple league system? It will take players a while to get used to more regular intense games, but its an absolute must in the end to improve standards. Assuming the system stays in place it will be very interesting to see how coaches balance player fatigue and trying to get as good a league position as possible.

The two things that need addressing are getting rid of the now pointless extra Millenium game (or whatever its called) and moving the CC to finish before the Super and Middle 8s kick off.

We'll put our feet up and be looking forward to our big club-esk signings for next year, while you'll be out next week and looking forward to Poundstretcher Peyroux and fags.

There was only Sav taking the ball up with any enthusiasm, Via trying too hard, LMS the worse of a bad bunch. Good job Percival was playing otherwise the Wire could have scored 50. No aggression in any shape of form, think I would like Burns to come back into the side when available.
