Every player in our squad could probably earn more money with another club. But they prefer to sacrifice a few extra quid in their back pocket to share special memories. And playing at a place like Old Trafford on a night like this makes it all worthwhile.

Where the frick did it go wrong? Ok, so we may never have been the closest bunch, but it appears over the past couple of seasons things have turned into the type of bitchfest we used to see in the days of King Piemon and the Wigoon chavs.

It appears several posters, on both sides want nothing more than to perpetuate the idea that the two don't get on, like the players at the world cup.

The constant sniping, biting and bitching is ultimately tedious. It is immature, irrelevant, and very little rugby actually gets discussed with out it turning into a "he pushed me first."

It's sad really, because after a quiet off season, we picked up, and rugby debate was going really well on here.

Rant over
Now you see I am in a dilemna because I wholeheartedly support the sentiment behind your entire post.

I really like St helens and its' supporters. I've friends who live there and often stand in the pop stand for our away games.

But I can't really post what i am about to without diverting away from your sentiment a little but feel I need to.

Just have a read through Stirlingshire Saints contributions on this very thread. Then imagine how much worse it is when its' posting on Southstander this past fortnight (and indeed all last summer when you took over at the top of the table).

Sadly, I feel I let myself down this past week and sank to its' level. I must admit i found it amusing when King Monkey made it cry by referencing its' public mental breakdown and I am usually bigger than that.

So, to all bar Stirlingshire Saint, if I offended you this past week with my forthright opinions I apologise. I hope we can enjoy further discourse in the build up to this Sunday's game, a game I am anticipating more than any in some of my lengthy time watching RL, and indeed afterwards, even if that discourse involves exchanging vastly different opinions.

This is why we've decided to jointly take the stance between both sites that anyone continually causing disruption will be given a short break from both team's boards at this time. We're not naive enough not to recognise that there are Saints 'trolls' just like from every other team and funnily enough it was Stirlingshire who has been the first to spit the dummy at the warnings posted on both sites.

Unfortunatley as TM-TL suggested to me earlier, sometimes it isn't the trolls that are necessarily the problem but those foolish enough to repeatedly bite.

Is this some kind of joke ?

Your very moderator posted to me along the lines of recognising the difference between light hearted banter and name calling etc. I suggest you heed the advice as well. It was also admitted by your mod that on your board, insults, foul language and general taking the mickey is condoned despite this being the very cause of the problems last week. To quote I was told 'accept it or leave'. What kind of an attitude is that ?

I would like to point out that initially I intended nothing more than genuine debate about the game of rugby and aimed not to get involved in the usual nonsense but frankly the same trio on your board (which includes yourself) drag everything down. One of your trio insulted someones wife a couple of days ago and then you lot have the nerve to play the holier than thou attitude. I have been insulted regarding something nothing to do with any of you and there is even a thread on the redvee board about the attitude of Leeds supporters nowadays. To be perfectly honest, the unsavoury characters on southstander keep people away from your board so you lot can continue your 'love in'.

Finally, I echo your comments regarding the game coming up. I, too am looking forward to the game immensely and hope there are no further issues between the 2 sets of supporters.

You're a total wind up as well.

My problem is the lack of consistency in approach. For instance, I had a post removed on here for questioning whether this new policy would work and questioning the moderation process on either sites. Following that, I had a full and frank debate with the Leeds mod and was told that they condone pretty much anything even though it is this approach that caused the problems last week. Effectively on one board anything goes whilst on the other barely anything goes.

I prefer the more lenient attitude however not to the extent that southstander allows. How on earth insults, wind ups and foul language can be thrown around by any Leeds supporter and claimed as just banter is beyond me. I enjoy a wind up, I don't enjoy insults or foul language and would seriously question how it could be condoned on any board. Hiding behind the 'light hearted banter' is just nonsense.

Back on topic I’m really looking forward next week for one big reason. Me and my cousin are going to have a day of it before he goes off to Canada with the army. I’ll be with a mate at the game also. We’ll be in Headingley around 1pm and leave around 12am depending on the mood after the game (yes I can be a bad sport sometimes but that’s why I’m absent on here when Leeds have beat you in the two grand finals as I know what its like when emotions are high). This is what a rugby league spectator experience is all about and should be!

You’ll all be glad to know I’m not doing any more lists!
