I would agree with the young quality side point and I think its a nice change to see a Wigan side using their young talent wisely rather than selling it all in favour of over the hill 2nd rate players which seemed to happen there not too long ago.
Whilst I dont like the style of rugby Maguire coaches personally, there is no doubt he is a good coach and has been very effective. I think whoever takes over though will struggle to maintain success for 10 years...mainly due to the fact SL really is getting closer and you will still have to deal with losing Richards, Carmont, Coley, Finch, Deacon, O'Loughlin, Lima, Hock and obviously Hoffman in that time which will be a tough transition - not saying it cant be done as, even though we have lacked silverware we have remained a top 3 side and lost a lot of our major players which is a great effort imo
For me personally, I think our young talents are equally as good as Wigan's and can see us being right up there with them again (hopefully starting next season now they have got a fair bit of 1st team experience under their belts) but at least over the next 2-3 years and think we will be in the same boat and we will both have the foundations in place for a solid team for a number of years to come
I hope you will be up there with us again for the sake of our derby! Our youth set up and under 18s, under 20s are superb, I have complete faith in our club that when the said players leave/retire, we will have replacements from the youth system ready, they will have been eased into the first team by then like the likes of Farrell, Tuson, Charnley and Mossop over the last few seasons.
