Signing "second rowers" may be Ross's idea of bringing more mobility to the pack. Watching the Anzac game Oz had a No 13 playing in the role of a 3rd Prop.

I don't get it. Next season we will only have two props in the entire squad. LMS and Perry.

That isn't enough.

With TP and Jammer moving on we needed to sign like for like positionally, i.e big boys for the centre of the park. Signing athetic second rowers to add to our collection is rather silly I feel. They are also very similar players are they not? All about tackling and very little else from what I've read about them?

Both Laffranchi and Waterhouse weigh 16st plus, which is pretty big.

We still don't know about TP (latest media rumours are promising) which would be 3.

Simmons has already stated Laffranchi is going to play front row & Clough has been mainly utilised as a prop for 18 months, thats not 5 giants but there is plenty grunt when you throw in Soliola

For next season we only have Lomax who is currently playing as a half back. Lance has been signed for there but it isn't his first choice position. He could easily be moved to hooker with Scott Moore playing at 13.

Actually, according to his interview on the Saints site, it is. He thinks he is best at halfback but has been asked to play at fullback in recent years.
