21st January 2011 Demolition Demolition work is completed in phase 1 all the buildings have been taken down. The four concrete slabs have been lifted and crushed for re use as type 1 mot. Phase 2 continuing breaking out the slabs and walls in the old basement, this concrete is also being crushed and reused as mot on the site. 21st January 2011 Archaeology The archaeologists have carried out further investigations to the East of the SAM to ascertain the condition of the relic remains of the previous glassworks. This work has been completed and reports been handed to St Helens Council. 21st January 2011 Mains Gas Diversion Mains Gas Diversion has progressed well they have now connected the new gas pipe bypass into the existing gas main on both the North and the South of the site. The governor is due on site anytime and this will allow the commissioning of the new bypass. the old pipe will be decommissioned and this will allow us to progress further with the store foundations. |
