I've been in twice at 6pm and they have "run out of chicken." That, and it's filthy, and the staff are poop.
It can't be worse than Winwick Road in Warrington. You get in the drive through queue and you get an eta of around the same time as a flight from Majorca. I was in there a few months back and they had no chicken or drinks.
I asked why they were open and they replied, "Because we're not allowed to close because we're still selling everything apart from chicken and drinks". What made it worse was people were still queueing up to buy fries, corn on the cob and coleslaw.
There is also a Frankie and Bennies and Subway on the retail park.
Hence for junk food addicts there is Burger King, KFC, McDonalds, and Subway, pretty much the full house close to the stadium.
Those wanting overpriced badly prepared tasteless junk food served by disinterested staff in a place with less atmosphere than the moon have Frankie and Bennies.
Then of course we have the town centre and all its pubs cafes pie shops and chippies within 10-15 mins walk
Edited for accuracy
There's an F&B's near where I live, I don't think I've ever seen anyone go in or come out since it opened. I don't know how or why it stays open.
First of all the outer cladding is now progressing quickly. On the positive side It seems to work well with the steelwork and the fancy black cladding, however on the negative side it may make the stadium look like a corrugated steel shed. Will have to see what the final result looks like though.
I also took this nightime shot of the South stand all lit up

They where on the fith bay with the siver cladding this morning, didn't like it at first but the more they fit the better it looks, in the sunlight from burger king it seemed to shimmer. Anyway talking to a foreman he was saying that the road at the East end that runs round the back of the North stand, access must be available by friday night or penalties come into play, he also said that this road will be used by Tesco for deliveries. I also asked him what they where doing with the back of the east and west terracing are they going to put a wall up to the roof, he said it was to be left open to ventilate the pitch, it will look odd if they do, also there is a green bum fluff appearing on the pitch, he went through what had been laid, anyway there's about three foot of various sand and gravels ending with a synthetic sand.

This makes it sound like the Milton Keynes stadium
Note also the turnstyles at Milton Keynes which like ours are a prominent feature. Marked out like a white goal post in the above picture .
Hope it isnt left open at the back as if its windy and raining then those on the concourses and back of terraces will get wet.
One thing i have long suspected was that they would do something similar to the KC stadium, whereby its open between the backwall of the terrace and the back of the stadium. This creates an atrium like look, and if lit well like the KC stadium, can create a Halo effect.

It looks like the nobs are well catered for, open concourses and drafty seating for the rest of us, hope I am wrong.

[quote='Fishsta"']I've always thought of McGuire as a good player, and I wouldn't normally wish injury on any player, but there was a certain hint of poetic justice to that.

Another classic:
[quote='Fishsta']You forgot to take off the "Saints Reduction Factor" when calculating the ban.
Standard suspension / Saints Reduction Factor = Actual ban for Saints player.
Therefore (2 / 3) = 0.666
0.666 < 1 therefore actual ban equals "less than 1 match".

Did he mean just while It was growing? I just cant see I being left open once finished, that would be fecking cr@p. Nah that cant be right, nowhere has It been mentioned that that was the design.

I've got my fingers crossed that this info is merely the result of "chinese whispers" that have altered things somewhat.
This picture on the Saints website shows things fully enclosed
Look closely at the North stand and you can see shadows behind the vertical steel posts and also angled steel beams connecting to a further set of steel posts behind. This to me shows the cladding is on the outer set of steel posts, these posts form the curve of the roof line and are not connected to the back of the terrace. Hence an open space between the back of the terrace and the back wall of the stadium.
The KC stadium in Hull is built this way. It makes the concourses light and airy You can see this clearly in this photo of the KC stadium below. (ive put the url in because its a mega big picture)
I do wonder though if the steel cladding will not go right to the roof line in the East and West stands. Maybe they will just leave a couple of feet of space free under the roof. This would allow air into the stadium, while at the same time, keeping patrons protected from the elements. Similar again to whats done at the KC stadium.
Another thing, could the so called Halo be based upon the lighting at the KC. This has a blue glow at the back on night matches that form a ring or Halo round the stadium from under the roof
Better pics here of Hulls night time halo effect. The pics are copyrighted so ive just linked to the page
If we leave the back of stands fully open, then that takes away the reason for not filling in the two corners, because part of the reason for that, is it allows you to have large gates that on none match days can be opened to help ventilate the pitch.
One things for sure though, and thats that we will find out in the coming few weeks.
