Great game of rugby, great banter with fans, great crowd, no trouble.

The best derby in RL is back  :D

I thought we were shocking, and did our best to help Wigan win the game.

I thought Wigan were all huff and puff and shown very little creativity.

Any team worthy of a top five place would have beaten us with a bit to spare tonight.

I agree although our goal line defence was very good IMO.

Only three days in between game days and Wigan still can't get within 2 scores of us.With fresh players coming back also things don't bode well for them.

Top six if they improve a bit.

I wouldn't call a team that had that many sets on an opponents line with only 2 tries to show for it 'superb', but hey opinions are like holes in backsides.

Actually, I reckon it could at least be called 'rather good'. The reason they didn't make it across the tryline more often is simply because our defence is outstanding (except for Gardner, who really MUST stop deserting his post - every team in SL will latch on to that habit and aim for him)

Wigan were very good I thought. Ainscough and Roberts caused us a few problems bringing the ball out, and Hock was a handful. Most of all though their line speed was very good and they took us off guard a little with their intensity I think.

I was impressed by our grit though. We looked a little tired and put ourselves under a lot of pressure with mistakes and poor decisions, but when we did so we rallied. That spell in which we defended 20 odd consecutive tackles in our own half was a fantastic display of spirit and organisation.

Robinson wrote - Saints - it depends on whether the side can get over their mental block. We're more than capable of beating 'Dads Army', but it appears that Wigan still shiit themselves at the mere sight of a red V.

Played crap and still beat them at their own ground (Well football ground)..Had Thaler spotted the forward pass to Bobby Davro on the wing we would of only conceeded 1 try....Not bad when you can perform for 20 mins and beat your local rivals

You were no way 12 points better than Barrow on Sunday and you know it ! Every fan I spoke to after the game said you were lucky to scrape through - against 16 part timers and a fella who had just arrived in the Country from Oz !

Wigan flattered to deceive.
The effort and passion were there, but they were playing a team that had just been in a real tough match at Headingley and who were naturally jaded.

Lets see how Wigan get on at Catalans, and the Magic weekend against Saints

Creatively Wigan were ordinary. They dominated possession and territory but couldnt do anything with it.
On the few occasions Saints were able to get into Wigans half we always looked like we were going to score.

What summed it up for me was that whenever Wigan took the lead, Saints had enough in the tank to raise their game a notch, go down the field and score.

Lets face it this was there cup final, they had to put everything into this match. They did, and came out with the wooden spoon.
