It seemed to work for Anderson though. You looked a far better and more enthused team under him, would you not agree?
I'd say its too soon to say better - we have at times this year looked very good just like at times during Anderson reign we looked dog poop .. the last 2 grand finals are 2 prime examples.

Except it didn't work when Ando tried it in 2 Grand Finals.
The past couple of weeks is really nothing new. Saints have ALWAYS been a side who will turn someone over one week, then frustrate the week after.
We have bigger issues to deal with in the future, like honing youngsters into key roles. That is why we have Potter in the hot seat.
I don't think a bollocking at half time on Saturday would have changed the scoreline. Wigan wanted it, they were fired up, and Saints looked disinterested.

Very true. Anderson was always going to be a tough act to follow.

Ando fine tuned a top machine, pre assembled. 2006 saw possibly the best side there has been in Super League, a ruthless defensive unit, well drilled attack from players in their prime, with subtle skills outwide to complement a dominant pack.
Potter needs to de-assemble to re-assemble. He won't get recognition if he succeeds or fails, because likilhood is we will bear the fruits of his work long after he has gone.
my concern is the number of points weve had scored agains us in the last few games'
earlier in the season our defence was pretty good..but suddenly it's gone up the swanny.
also heard cunnigham isnt a big fan of potter either.
having 72 points scored against us from two so called mediocre teams in our last 2 games is something to be concerned about.

At times this season we've been a cut above anything we've done for the past two years. The competition cap just makes Super League that much stronger and harder to maintain a high level of consistency because every team can now strive for that with the exception of Celtic.
