| Quote Ski="Ski"Wheeler looks like one, who if given a role in the middle of the park, who will have that natural edge. His footwork is Pryce-esque, and he appears to have been hammering the gym (a chest Andy Northey and Mike Bennett would fight it out over) to make the step up.
Given time to adapt to Super League, he is really one to watch.'"
His chest appeared to be mainly padding on Sky the other week. Unless he has some kind of Tony Stark chest plate.

Cant beleive you are having a dig at the "chest".... leave the kids chest alone, its world class.

| On Cherry they are questioning the continued ommision of Ainscough and rumours of the "he can't play more than X amount of matches or we have to pay him more and we cant afford that under the cap" variety have surficed. This was commonplace before salary cap days, so could this be a reason for some of our juniors not getting a runout? Wheeler played quite a bit a the start of the season, so perhaps we can't afford to play him?
Someone pop into the Crispy Cod and ask his mum

| Why do you think Tom Armstrong was dropped. He played 4 games - 5 and he earns a first team contract!

That was a theory banded around at the time. Another was that he isn't going to make it.
Or just that Meli came back

Meli arrived back, Wheeler did a better job, Dean regained fitness...
All three more likely than your conspiracy theory.

| It's hardly an elaborate tale though is it? Young players will often have clauses built into contracts to protect themselves. You couldn't expect a player on youth terms to in the first team until their contract expired and was renegotiated.
The thing with Saints though is that we cannot possibly be near the cap limit as we've got so few senior players in comparison with previous seasons.

It was common, but with the constraints of the cap it would be silly to have them now, one injury crisis and your fecked

Could just be that Ainscough can't defend for toffee? Or that he can't be bothered catching the kick off after he has scored a try? Or that he caused trouble on the plane coming home from France??

He was injured in the Bradford game ... he was rested as a precaution for the Wigan game after the scan on his arm showed the damage to be a little worse than was expected. He is fit and available for selection for Sunday.
