I'd recommend going to Canet plage for a bit of beach time. You can get a bus there which takes about half an hour. It's a very nice beach, but also has plenty of bars, shopping areas and restaurants.

I'm sure Syd can recommend plenty of places to go aswell.

No, I'll be the one in the Saints shirt.......!!!!

To anyone that hasn't been before you are in for a treat. I was genuinely very sceptical when Catalans were accepted into the League but after being down there for the first time 3 years ago (with the intention of it just being a one off) we have been every time since.

It's a fantastic weekend and the fans/locals are very friendly. Canet plage is definitely worth a visit too - a great beach and lots of restaurants/bars too.

Hotel Mercure is where the players stayed for the last 2 years if I remember rightly - they have definitely stayed there at least once.

I am really excited now - see you all at the airport!!!

Although I should warn everyone - Saints have played away at Catalans 4 times altogether. The first trip, Saints won (me and Dad couldn't go) and the other 3 Saints have lost (me and Dad been to all 3)......

We are staying at Hotel Citea Perpignan. Fly out Friday at 3 ish from manchester. I can't wait!

Although as I am a teacher, currently waiting for the dreaded Ofsted phonecall, I am praying that the phonecall doesn't come this week as I might feel a little cheeky going away while everyone else at work will be at school all weekend preparing for the spawn of satan to come and inspect us!


I'm going this weekend and expect a win, been twice. UTC in the challenge cup about 6 years ago and the first year Catalan was in super league, so we won both.
