I think its fair to say that if we sign Terry Newton, I wont be renewing my season ticket next year.

Having spoken to him a few times, he's actually a really nice bloke.

What's in the past is in the past. If we cared about the reputations earned by either current players or players that we've signed, we wouldn't be cheering on a few of our big stars. That said, he's got his best years behind him, and any move for a 31 year old, unless they're genuinely world class, is a big-a mistake-a to make-a.

I couldnt give a f@ck if he was the nicest thing since sliced bread off the field, I dont want that "hasbeen" at our club, when weve the likes of Roby, Scotty Moore and even Eastmond that could do a job at Nine IF the king retires.

I would agree with that. There is no doubting that he is a talented player but he is also coming to the end of his career and I don't think he would be the best of signings we could make

Is the "Newton is a good play" thing a myth?

He has not done much at Bradford. All he managed was to stop Henderson getting a starting spot in the Bulls side. Henderson then went on to become a superstar in the NRL.
