As I recall, I suggested that Saints, and others were using image rite contracts, now admitted by your own chairman.

What was outrageous about that?

It appears that someone got twitchy and a ban was threatened.

It's called 'Dumning Down'. They, Ray French and a number of other BBC NW journos (I can't speak for Yorkshire, but I suspect it's the same there) are experts at it.

The stuff McManus talked about tonight they should know inside out. It's their JOB as RL journalists. Instead they act like they are being forced to digest the most esoteric theories of Alan Turing or Richard Feynman.

We could all have learned a lot more last night if they would have let McMannus carry on.
I really enjoyed it.

I would have loved to be doing the interview though.

As Mugwump says. they are lazy journalists. Kinsella is by far the best of them, I'm sure he would have dug a little deeper last night.

Eamonn got one thing really wrong. He called "Brian" a young man.

I dont think Rogue has been young since the 1950's


Only thing i personally disagreed with Eamonn on was the top 3 playoff.
I do agree that the top 8 is a joke as is the pick the side you want to play shennanigans. I prefer the original top 5 format.
It was also interesting to note that the vote to expand the playoffs was taken by the clubs. A classic case of turkeys voting for christmas.
I dont think it will therefore be long before some bright spark at the RFL suggests a top 14 playoff.
