Spot on. We need to go all Wigan on teams by slowing the ruck down.

Leeds were so fast getting up and 'doing a saints' by getting a roll on down the middle of the field. Same for Wigan on Good Friday.

It's certainly a worry when this hasn't been rectified. It seems that we did not take anything from the Wigan loss.

higher work rate and that becomes the natural reaction to it. put 3 in a tackle and control it off the ground and you win the ruck. Saints used to frustrate the poo out of me under anderson as that was his tactics as well.

Watch the match again! the number of times a third Saints player fell down on his own two team mates, when the tackle had been completed, Wilkin was the worst culprit, I think it should be penalised all the time! it goes back to the time wrestling coaches were reported to have been brought in at some clubs. Look instead at the missed tackles, hands just flying and not getting the player, that is more the problem.

I commented after 3 games how poor our defence was and I was shot down ( Harry Pinner I think it was). I honestly don't think I've seen a team so lacking in putting their body in the line.

The heart and desire in defence is so poor it's unreal.

Also, I would never play LMS or Jordan Turner again. They are two shop ponies and lack commitment in a saints shirt. Both to soft and no desire.

I would agree with much of what you say your defence I agree is the main problem (as is ours) and your 100% right about LMS, he seems to me to spend most of his time staring out opponents and sledging after being tackled trying to show how hard he thinks he is rather than get on with his job of winning the game with his team-mates. Saints seems to rely on Amor for much of their effective go forward, and when he’s not there they seem to struggle. Swift and Percival are fine attacking players, but need much more defensive experience an education IMO, and Masoe, well I think the guy is just a virtual ineffective passenger.
