I can't honestly see Leeds wanting him. With Watkins, BJB, Hardaker, Hall etc they seem very well covered. It certainly wouldn't be a priority signing for them.
Wigan I can see being interested as their outside backs are nothing special. Carmont, although clearly better than Newlove and arguably the finest centre ever to play the game since Barrie Jon Mather, is retiring, Gelling is comically poor and although Goulding is playing well, he's not anything special. But with their academy system, would they really want to pay Saints a transfer fee for Makinson?
I can't see it being true. I could however see the speculation coming from Makinson's camp. If I were him I'd be annoyed at not having replaced Wellens at fullback by now.
