Judas status does not apply. Only applied to those that leave us directly when we would rather have kept them i.e. Connolly / Platt not to someone we got shut of and who we have not missed.

Mal Meninga to, he walked out on us and we didnt want him to. Same with that Jarrod Mc Cracken fella, and Jamie Lyon... seems its a centre thing, we get the cream and they bog off and leave us.

The Sun reports that he has 'abandoned plans to play in the NRL' so it's nothing at all to do with the lack of interest from NRL, the fact that he is 2 stone overweight and has been a shadow of the player he was for the past 3 seasons. good luck to Gleeson. He is a good player and being almost 29 he has bagged himself a great contract (3 1/2 years). He is no Judas , we ditched him for being a prat and who can blame him for wanting to leave Dire?? TBH at his age he had no chance of a top NRL contract - if he wanted to go there he should have gone a few years back.

He is no Judas, he's a Fielden, draining the salary cap like a cess pit truck. He gave up on the game years ago, simply goes through the motions in his lucid moments. Only reason Wigan signed him was to get rid of Mathers. He'll quickly be added to the ever growing list of under achievers, make a good combination with Timmy and Pryce in the reserves. Fade into oblivion like Simon Haughton.
