That's absurd. Why not?
Players moving from Saints to Wigan cause your fans to turn against them. That is a fact.
There's friendly banter and there's hatred. Despite the fact that the board was culpable in the loss of Connolly to Wigan, Connolly himself arsed the club and the supporters around by saying 'Yes - I'm staying' one minute and 'No' the next seemingly for weeks. THAT is the reason he's hated. Platty didn't get anywhere near the stick that Judas did.
Long is loved by the supporters. He doesn't want to leave. That makes a big difference. Whilst I'm sure he'd get some stick (name me a player that doesn't) - there's no chance he'd suffer the abuse that Judas did. None.
You lot went from saying Mickey Higham was great to saying that he was a joke, and third choice hooker, and not fit to burn within the space of 5 minutes.
That's not an accurate representation of events. There were many people on this site (myself included) who said Higham went downhill after his first season at the club (mainly because other teams had worked him out). Even in his best days his distribution from the dummy half was a lottery. The first receiver never knew whether the ball would arrive near his boot laces or his ears. His discipline was also suspect. In his second season he turned into a penalty machine.
