I would let Wheeler go ahead of Gaskell especially seeing as pretty much every club in the country is struggling to bring through their own half backs. I mean, Wire had to go out and buy two, Pies bought Smith and one wonders what's going to happen at Leeds to replace their's.

Who are the other young halves we have coming through? Maybe Brown sees one or more of them having more potential than Gaskell?

That was all to do with the Ian Millward saga. Wigan is now owned by a mate of Eamonn's, so I don't think this will be a factor.
